Tafseer Ahsan ul Bayan Urdu (New Edition)

Tafseer Ahsan ul Bayan (تفسیر احسن البیان) explains the Quran in plain Urdu through short notes by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, written on the well known Urdu translation of Maulana Muhammad Junagarhi and revised for Darussalam by Maulana Safiur Rahman Mubarakpuri. This New Edition is Darussalam's one colour print in the 17x24 cm size: a single hardcover volume holding the complete Quran with translation and tafseer.

How the tafseer is laid out

Each page carries the Arabic text in its frame, the Urdu translation beside it and numbered notes below. The notes are brief: they explain a word, give the reason a verse was revealed, quote the hadith that explains it, or note the ruling it contains. Because nothing is padded, a reader can finish a juz in one sitting and still come away understanding it.

Who it suits

Families who want one trusted tafseer at home, students preparing a dars, and readers who found the longer tafseers too heavy to finish. The subtitle on the cover, "in the light of authentic ahadith", describes the method: the notes rely on the Quran, sound hadith and the understanding of the Salaf.
