Misbah ul Quran (6 Volume Set)

Misbah ul Quran (مصباح القرآن) is a six volume Urdu work by Professor Abdul Rehman Tahir, published by Bait ul Quran, Lahore, that helps you understand the words of the Quran yourself. Instead of asking the reader to learn Arabic grammar first, it marks the parts of each word with a simple colour-coded system of signs, so you can see how a word is built and work out its meaning without a tutor. Each volume covers five paras: Volume 1 runs from Para 1 to Para 5, and the six volumes together cover the whole Quran.

How Misbah ul Quran works

Every word of the Quranic text is broken into its parts, and each part is marked with a colour and a sign, with the meaning given in Urdu. The same patterns repeat across the whole Quran, so once you recognise them you can follow the meaning of what you recite and hear, instead of reading a translation separately.
